Best Overall:

Give a Sh!t

Give a Sh!t is a great company with an awesome bag.

Key Features of this bag:

  • 18 microns thick for a durable and leak-proof bag.
  • Fits with most dog bag dispensers.
  • Made from 100% biodegradable/compostable materials.
  • 10% of all profits go to charity.

Give a Sh!t is the perfect option for those wanting a quality eco-friendly poop bag that is reasonably priced, too!

Flushable:

Flush Doggy

There are not a lot of bags on the market that can claim to be flushable, but Flush Doggy is one of them! Those looking to reduce their impact on landfills might find this bag to be a great choice.

Key Features of this bag:

  • Made from polyvinyl alcohol, which breaks down in water.
  • Come in a handy storage bag for convenience.
  • Keep dog waste out of landfills and riverways by sending them to treatment plants to remove harmful bacteria.

The bag itself is fairly sturdy, but be careful because it begins to break down as soon as it is wet, so no rain storms for this bag! Read our full review of this bag here.

Budget Bag:

Earth Rated Compostable Bag

A compostable, sturdy, and cruelty-free bag can seem hard to come by, but the Earth Rated Compostable Bag fits the bill and at a great price. If you want an affordable bag that is as good as any plant based dog poop bag out there, check these out!

Best for Small Dogs:

Eco Glove

I have a small dog and hate wasting big bags on single poops! While I try to reuse bags a few times, sometimes it is nice to have a perfect size bag for your smaller dog. The Eco Glove is a versatile option that works great for picking up pet waste for dogs under 25lbs. and can help for any situation where you want to be wearing gloves.

Plus, get convenient poop protection with their on the go compostable packets, or buy in bulk and save the packaging. Read our full review here.

Best for Big Messes:

MyAlphaPet

MyAlphaPet is a great bag for big dogs with even bigger poops!

Key Featurs of this bag:

  • 20 microns thick for ultimate durability.
  • Star-sealed bottom to prevent any leaks.
  • Backyard compostable.
  • Well-priced.

The MyAlphaPet bag is one of my all-time favorites! Read our full review of this bag here.

Best Non-Bag System:

Nature’s Miracle Non-Stick Advanced Jaw Scoop

For those who would like to forego stooping over every time they have to pick up poop, Nature’s Miracle Non-Stick Advanced Jaw Scoop will take the strain, and back pain, out of potty time! This is awesome for dogs who do most of their business in the backyard. The scoop makes it easy to pick up even the biggest messes, and the strong springs keep everything in place while you transport it to a bucket or larger bag.

Runner Up:

Sir Waggington’s

While Sir Waggington’s bag is a great compostable option, it is a tad bit pricier than some of the other options on the market. But if you don’t mind spending a few extra dollars you will get a bag that holds up well and is even a bit taller than some of its competitors, which is great if you are picking up after big dogs.
